90 Devonport Road Wins Innovation Award at 2025 Infrastructure NZ Building Nations Impact Awards
Willis Bond’s 90 Devonport Road project in Tauranga has received the Innovation Award at the 2025 Infrastructure New Zealand Building Nations Impact Awards, held last night in Wellington.
The awards celebrate infrastructure projects that deliver positive impacts for people, productivity, and the planet. Judges recognised 90 Devonport Road for its early collaborative approach, use of prefabrication, and low-carbon design — all contributing to a building that performs well for both people and place. Delivered on time and under budget, the project is a testament to the strength and dedication of the entire team.
Special thanks go to construction partner LT McGuinness Ltd., architectural partner Warren and Mahoney, structural engineers Dunning Thornton, services engineers Beca, and Tauranga City Council, to whom the building is now home. We also acknowledge the many consultants, subcontractors, and collaborators involved, as well as New Zealand-based timber suppliers Red Stag Timber, Nelson Pine Industries Ltd., and Techlam NZ.
