Catalina Bay Apartments Honoured at 2025 Auckland Architecture Awards

Catalina Bay Apartments has received a prestigious Housing – Multi Unit Award at the 2025 Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects Auckland Architecture Awards.

Designed by Architectus, Catalina Bay Apartments exemplifies innovative urban design that blends seamlessly with its spectacular waterfront setting. Positioned at the northern tip of Hobsonville Point, this thoughtfully masterplanned development of 82 premium residences offers an elevated standard of apartment living in Auckland—uniting historic character with contemporary architecture.

Set on a prized waterfront site, the apartments are crafted with spacious interiors, generous glazing, and soaring ceilings - maximising natural light and framing sweeping views across the Waitematā Harbour. With a diverse mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom layouts, the residences are finished with premium materials and fine-grained detail that reflect the project’s design ambition.

This award is a testament to the strength of collaboration. Our thanks and congratulations go to our design partner Architectus, and to the talented delivery team who brought this vision to life: LT McGuinness, Mott MacDonald, BGT Structures, and Kingstons.

As a cornerstone of the growing Catalina Bay community, this project highlights the enduring value of high-quality, community-minded development.

A limited number of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences are still available, including apartment, wharf terrace, and penthouse typologies.
